June 25, 2019 - Vandenbergh Suffers Blown Motor in Hot-laps at Tri-City
Tuesday night saw Kolby Vandenbergh return with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour for the rescheduled event at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois). With 37 cars on hand, Kolby suffered a blown motor in hot-laps that brought an immediate end to his night.

June 20, 2019 - Kolby Vandenbergh Bags a Pair of 12th Place Finishes in Hell Tour Action
Kolby Vandenbergh traveled to Jacksonville Speedway (Jacksonville, Illinois) on Wednesday evening for the seventh round of the rain-soaked DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. In a field of 25 cars, Kolby secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting in 10th, Vandenbergh dropped two spots to place 12th. On Thursday evening at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Illinois), Vandenbergh recorded the tenth fastest time in his group before grabbing the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat. With $5,000 on the line, Kolby gained three spots in the 40-lapper reeling in a 12th place finish.

June 8, 2019 - Vandenbergh Attends Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
Thursday night saw Kolby Vandenbergh making the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 25th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. With 92 Super Late Models registered in for action, Vandenbergh held his spot for all 10-laps in his heat to place 11th. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make opening night preliminary feature, Kolby fell short with a 10th place outing.

The following night for another round of preliminary features, Kolby failed to record a lap in time trials but jumped up one spot in his heat logging a 10th place finish. Transferring the Top 2 out of the B-Main and into the final $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Vandenbergh recorded a 9th place finish. (Zachary Yost Photography)

For the final night of the Dirt Late Model Dream on Saturday, Vandenbergh needed a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $125,000-to-win finale. After a brief rain shower delayed his heat, Kolby crossed the line in 6th but was light at the scales, bringing an early end to his weekend.
